The firm continually works to advance our diversity initiatives and refine our strategy to help ensure we continue to value, leverage, and encourage diversity of thought, perspective, and approach. The goal is to continue to create an open and inclusive work environment, one in which business and personal objectives can be achieved.
A Commitment Driven by Leadership
We know that building and maintaining a culture based on inclusion requires a comprehensive effort comprised of both firmwide programs and grassroots initiatives in our local offices. We also realize that for these activities to take hold and flourish, they need the full support of firm leadership. We are proud of the fact that our firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion starts at the very top, as articulated by KPMG Chairman and CEO John Veihmeyer in his Chairman’s Statement on Diversity.
As part of firm leadership’s commitment to diversity, the partners who currently serve as co-chairs of KPMG's employee-driven national Diversity Networks join National Managing Partner, Diversity and Corporate Responsibility Kathy Hopinkah Hannan as members of KPMG's national Diversity Advisory Board (DAB). By bringing together the individual ideas and best practices of these Diversity Networks, DAB enables us to better execute against them as one firm, for the benefit of all our people.
KPMG also recognizes the value that women and their perspectives bring to our organization. That’s why KPMG’s Women's Initiatives focus on a practical and sustainable approach to educating and advancing women in the workplace.
Diversity Recruiting
Attracting and hiring a diverse workforce is critically important to KPMG’s success, and we have a comprehensive recruiting program in place to actively seek out recruits with a wide variety of approaches, skills, experience, and opinions.
