FAQs on mutual recognition of AEO / C-TPAT programs 

February 6: The European Commission today posted a list of “frequently asked questions” (FAQs) concerning the mutual recognition of the EU’s Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) program and the U.S. C-TPAT program.

The United States and European Union in May 2012 agreed to the mutual recognition of their respective trade partnership programs. Under the agreement, each customs authority is to treat members of the other customs authority's program in a manner comparable to the way it treats members of its own program.
