Countervailing duty alert - Frozen warmwater shrimp 

January 8:   A petition filed December 28, 2012, with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, alleged that frozen warmwater shrimp from China, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam are being unfairly subsidized by their respective governments.

The petitioner requested that countervailing duties (CVD) be imposed upon imports of frozen warmwater shrimp from China, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam (in addition to normal customs duties).
