Dodd-Frank Quick Hits Alert - FSOC Annual Report - (July 2011)

KPMG’s Americas’ Financial Services Regulatory Center of Excellence released an alert in July 2011 identifying the new FSOC annual report. As a result of Dodd-Frank, this new regulator will produce an annual report identifying risks and emerging threats to the financial stability of the U.S. economy.

The FSOC is a collaborative body chaired by the secretary of the treasury that brings together expertise of the federal financial regulators, an insurance expert and state regulators. Congress mandated that the FSOC provide an annual report on issues and challenges to the financial system.
