    SEC Proposes Crowdfunding Rules

    This edition of Defining Issues reports that the SEC recently proposed rules for selling securities through crowdfunding. The proposed rules do not limit the types of securities that may be sold or prescribe a method for valuing the securities. They also include a framework to regulate funding portals and brokers that issuers of securities must use to facilitate their crowd funding offerings.
