Michael is a Director in KPMG’s Life Actuarial Practice, having joined the business in 2009. He has a broad range of experience which includes: working with European and UK insurers to improve their capital position under local regulatory frameworks and latterly under Solvency II; identifying, and developing recommendations to manage the strategic and business implications of Solvency II, leading the Solvency II Pillar 2 workstream for a large UK insurer; management of with-profits fund issues; financial reporting; and transactions.
Michael joined KPMG from McKinsey where he worked on strategy projects across various industries including retail and commercial banking, telecoms, property development, and life insurance. Michael’s previous actuarial experience was gained at Aviva and subsequently at Ernst & Young where he worked with top UK life insurers across a number of areas.
