The commercial aerospace sector appears to have emerged strongly from the global downturn, with 2011 full year deliveries projected to reach an all-time high and further year-on-year increases expected, supported by over seven years of order backlog with the likes of OEMs such as Airbus and Boeing.

The defence sector remains challenging following the strategic spending review in the UK and budget constraints in the traditional Western markets. However, increasing demand from the Far and Middle Eastern markets along with the focus on cyber security is providing significant potential for growth.
