KPMG's Guide to Directors' Remuneration 2013 

KPMG has recently published the 2013 Guide to Directors’ Remuneration, a survey which analyses trends in FTSE 350 directors’ pay. The analysis supports the prediction made last year, that the link between pay and performance would continue to dominate the debate on executive remuneration and that basic pay increases would remain moderate.

The nature of the debate on basic pay at remuneration committee level has changed, with less focus on following the market (although understanding  this remains important) and more focus on ensuring that the pay and performance linkage is transparent, aligned to stakeholder interests, and meaningful for participants.
