“This is a welcome shot in the arm for social enterprises. Unlike businesses and charities, social enterprises in general have not, until now, had their own tax relief scheme.
“The Chancellor spoke today about wanting to remove any ‘cap on aspiration’. Social enterprises are key in helping this to happen. The work they do takes many forms, but most of them are concerned with enabling individuals and communities to unlock their potential in different ways. By attracting more investment, social enterprises will be able to extend the reach and impact of their work.”
