- Office set to expand after audit commission win across the region
KPMG in Milton Keynes has announced the appointment of Mark Matthewman as the new Senior Partner for the office.
Mark joined KPMG in 1989 in KPMG’s Northampton office, which was later merged with the Milton Keynes office in 1997. He became a partner in 2000, and spent two years on secondment at KPMG’s Silicon Valley office, California. Since his return to the UK he has been the lead audit partner for a number of listed and private companies, many of the latter being Private Equity backed. He has vast experience of working with a wide spread of industries but has particular focus with technology and leisure companies.
Commenting on his appointment, Mark Matthewman said :
“It is great to be back in the Milton Keynes area, which has a tremendous track record in attracting great businesses and giving them an environment in which to grow. We work with some fantastic clients and there is some very exciting industry sectors based here, so I am really looking forward to taking the office forward. Working with my fellow partners, directors and staff, I am certain that the Milton Keynes office will continue to bring value to our clients across all areas of our business, particularly as the economy slowly starts to turn the corner and businesses turn their thoughts from survival to growth.”
The KPMG office in Milton Keynes currently has around 100 members of staff working across audit, tax and advisory. Mark will continue to work on developing the portfolio of clients that KPMG works with across Milton Keynes, Northampton and the surrounding areas. The office is set to expand the size of its audit practice having recently won significant work with the Primary Care Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
Mark Matthewman concluded:
