KPMG’s UK Tax and Pensions Practice boosts strength and depth of technical expertise with two new Partners and six senior hires 


KPMG’s UK Tax and Pensions Practice announces two further Partner promotions and six senior hires since the beginning of the firm’s financial year on 1 October to strengthen and deepen KPMG’s level of technical expertise.


The further Partner promotions are Harinder Soor in the Capital Allowances team and Paul McCartney in the Private Equity team.


In addition, six new Directors join KPMG’s Corporate Tax, People Services and Legal Services teams. 


These latest recruits and promotions are in addition to the five Partner and 20 Directors promoted internally at KPMG in the summer whose new roles were effective as of 1 October this year.

Corporate Tax


  • Partner promotions for Harinder Soor, Paul McCartney and Timothy Sarson.


  • James Magrath has joined the Corporate Tax South practice as a Director, from EY.


  • Mark Albright has joined the Transfer Pricing team as a Director, from UBS.


  • Carol Johnson is joining the Intellectual Property team as a Director, from HM Revenue and Customs.


  • Director promotions for Anna Murphy, Benjamin Tausig, Claire Angell, Gavin Little, Kevin Elliott, Kirsty Rockall, Lee Thomson, Rohit Patiar, Russell Fielder, Steven Abbott and Susanne Dixon.

  • Partner promotions for Christopher Downing and James Prince.


Legal Services


  • Kevin King has joined the Legal Services team as a Director, from Skadden.


  • Director promotion for Richard Phillips.
