The Private Client practice at KPMG in the UK has won “Accountancy Firm of the Year” at the prestigious STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’) Awards held on 15 September.
This is the second time in three years that the KPMG private client practice in the UK has won this award, winning in both years it could enter.
STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) has nearly 17,000 members in 81 countries. The awards honour excellence in the Private Client industry and are judged by peers in a rigorous three stage process. The Judges said, “KPMG bring a great depth of expertise to bear for their clients, particularly a detailed understanding of the technical aspects of the Finance Act 2008.”
Dermot Callinan Head of Private Client at KPMG said that he was particularly pleased that the Judges acknowledged that “KPMG has a dedicated, specialist private client partner in each of the major UK regions. Clients’ needs come first and staff development is important as it strives for excellence. Mike Walker, partner in the private client advisory practice at KPMG in Manchester (who put KPMG’s submission together and picked up the award at the ceremony), said: “I am delighted that our private client team has won the highly prestigious STEP ‘Accountancy Firm of the Year’ for the second time in three years.
