KPMG’s member firms have moved up to the top spot, leading this year’s rankings of the world’s best outsourcing advisors – as assessed by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®), a standards-setting and professional advocacy organisation.
The award comes ahead of data due to be released* which will demonstrate the steady growth of the outsourcing marketplace. Based on the views of 230 respondents it will highlight plans for contract renewal and outline why clients are turning to outsourcing suppliers.
“KPMG is delighted to be recognised for the work we do for our clients, particularly as the recognition comes from such an influential organisation within the outsourcing industry,” said Shamus Rae, partner within KPMG’s Shared Services and Outsourcing Advisory team. “It is testament to the hard work of our teams when an independent organisation confirms that we deliver value to our clients and the profession, in what has become a complex and challenging environment for them.”
A year ago, KPMG was awarded second place on the IAOP list. The firm’s rise to Number One is in recognition for its customer satisfaction, revenues and ability to provide advice to clients across the globe.
To be considered for the IAOP list, organisations have to make a submission based on the way they provide consulting and legal advice to outsourcing buyers and sellers. Twenty firms are awarded places on the final list – all judged by an independent panel brought together by the IAOP.
“This is a significant accomplishment and is a result of the strategic investments we have made in Shred Services and Outsourcing advisory across the globe – most notably with the acquisition of EquaTerra in 2011. These have expanded our reach and strengthened our ability to deliver on the ground in the UK and globally in this space,” added Mark Hutchinson, partner and head of management consulting, KPMG UK. “We are honoured to be recognised for working with the world’s leading organisations to create and protect the sustainable value of their business.”
“In today’s economy, it is more important than ever for outsourcing end users to be able to easily identify and select the right company for their outsourcing needs,” said IAOP Chairman, Michael Corbett. “The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors lists are essential for companies who are looking for proven leaders and rising stars in the outsourcing industry.”
The list of top outsourcing advisors will be published in Fortune magazine on 23rd July in a special advertising feature produced by the IAOP.
