KPMG is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Muller to its European investment management practice. Charles was previously the Deputy Director General of ALFI, the association of the Luxembourg fund industry.
Charles will be based in Luxembourg and joins KPMG’s European financial services regulatory Centre of Excellence which is led out of London.
Tom Brown, European head of investment management at KPMG, commented: “Charles’ reputation in the investment management industry is outstanding and he brings significant expertise to our practice in Europe. The industry is facing an unprecedented wave of new regulation and we are working hard to help our clients navigate their way through this period of change.”
Charles Muller commented: "In a rapidly changing regulatory landscape, it is increasingly important that industry players keep on top of the newest trends and challenges. We need to help them consider new legislation not only as a burden, but also as a potential opportunity to further investor protection and innovation. I am proud to be joining KPMG that I have always admired for being extremely competent and professional."
KPMG has Financial Services Regulatory Centres of Excellence in London (for Europe and the Middle East), in New York (for the Americas region) and in Hong Kong (for the Asia Pacific region). The Centres bring together regulatory expertise from across KPMG’s global network to provide valuable insight to clients on regulatory developments locally and globally in the fields of banking, insurance, and other areas of financial services, and to provide advice on the strategic, compliance and business implications.
