KPMG awarded three Audit Commission Contracts

Commenting on the Audit Commission’s announcement in respect of the award of audit contracts for five years from the 2012/13 financial year, Mike McDonagh, Head of Public Sector Audit at KPMG, said:

“KPMG is delighted to have won three audit contracts with the Audit Commission.  We have a strong track record of delivering public sector audits, and these wins build on that position.  We are pleased that the Audit Commission recognised the emphasis that we place on audit quality.  We look forward to the transfer of Audit Commission staff to KPMG in due course and welcoming them as part of our team.   We will work closely with the Audit Commission to ensure a smooth transition, so that we can put every effort into delivering the highest possible quality audits for our new local authority and National Health Service clients.”

KPMG was awarded the audit contracts for London North, East Midlands and Humberside & Yorkshire.
