    KPMG appoints David O’Hara to lead its Scottish Investment Advisory team 

     

    KPMG in the UK has appointed David O’Hara from Hymans Robertson as a Principal Investment Consultant to lead its newly established Scottish Investment Advisory team. 

     

    The Scottish Investment Advisory team will form part of KPMG’s national Investment Advisory team and is actively recruiting to grow its presence in Scotland.  It will advise clients on all aspects of their investment arrangements and will work closely with the Scottish Pensions team led by KPMG partner, Donald Fleming.  David O’Hara will be based in Glasgow and will report to Patrick McCoy, Head of Investment Advisory for KPMG LLP in the UK. 

     

    KPMG's 60 strong UK-wide Investment Advisory practice provides investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients including pension fund trustees, corporate bodies and the financial services market.  KPMG believes that the Scottish market presents a significant opportunity for further growth in this area.

     

    David O’Hara has 13 years of experience in the UK pensions and investment industry. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries.  He joins KPMG from Hymans Robertson LLP where he provided investment advice to a range of major private and public UK pension schemes, most recently to those with total assets under advice of approximately £6.5bn.  He holds an honours degree in Statistics from Glasgow University.
