Paul Dumbell and Brian Green from KPMG’s Restructuring team were appointed Joint Administrators to Langtree Homes Limited on 18 December 2013.
The company operated as a residential property holding and construction business. Its principal assets are residential apartments in Brockhall Village, Lancashire, and Prenton, Wirral, as well as development land with planning permission in Brockhall Village.
The company, which ceased to trade immediately on appointment, employed five members of staff who have been made redundant.
Agent Edward Symmons has been appointed to manage and maintain the properties on a day to day basis, and provide the full range of tenant services on an ongoing basis. The development land has been mothballed and will be marketed for sale in January 2014.
Paul Dumbell, Joint Administrator and Restructuring Director at KPMG, said: “Despite a general upturn in the residential property market, Langtree Homes suffered from working capital issues that resulted in the administration. The appointment of agent Edward Symmons will ensure minimal disruption to tenants while the assets are marketed for sale.”
