Nina Amin, partner and head of Asian Markets, at KPMG, has received an MBE in this year’s Queen's Birthday Honours list for services to the Asian Business Community.
Nina has been at KPMG for over 16 years and a Tax Partner where she works with middle market clients and is involved in advising Chinese and Indian companies wishing to set up in the UK, as well as heading up the firm’s Asian Business programme, working with Asian businesses, who make a huge contribution to the UK's economy.
Nina is a qualified chartered accountant with over 25 years of corporate tax experience and has won a number of awards including the 2008 Professional of the Year and the 2009 Asian Who’s Who Leadership award. She was a board member of KPMG’s Advisory Council and a visiting lecturer at Bedfordshire University.
She is an elected member of the CBI London Council and sits on the China Business Association committee as well as the Advisory Council of TiE, a body that promotes entrepreneurship in the UK. Nina has also been appointed to the Prince’s Trust Women In Leadership Group and is a Trustee with Lepra a UK registered charity.
Commenting on her award, Nina said “I am delighted to receive an MBE, which is a huge honour. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to head up KPMG's offering to the Asian Business Community which is an area that is very much a part of KPMG's vision to transform our business and dominate professional services. I also count myself fortunate to have a fantastic range of clients and a great team to work with, in addition to a hugely supportive family.
