KPMG Lawyer in Britain's high flying women in business list

Misha Patel has become the first in-house lawyer from KPMG to be named in the prestigious Management Today ‘35 Women Under 35’ list, which showcases the achievements of young talented women in Britain from a myriad of professions and backgrounds.

Misha, 31, KPMG’s Assistant General Counsel, is based in London’s Canary Wharf office.  She joined the firm from Clifford Chance this year where she was a corporate finance lawyer working from its London and Dubai offices on a broad range of matters from cross-border mergers and acquisitions to corporate advisory mandates. Misha has already been recognised earlier in her career by respected business awards including the 2011 Square Mile Magazine’s 30 Under 30 for Law, the 2010 Real Business shortlist for the Women of the Future Awards and Financial News.

Misha said: “I’m thrilled to be included in Management Today’s 2011 ‘35 Women Under 35’ list. To be handpicked alongside so many other talented and inspirational businesswomen is a great honour and valuable milestone in my career.”

At KPMG, Misha advises on all aspects of the firm’s corporate business including domestic and international M&A, disposals, joint ventures, general corporate/commercial and other specialist areas of advice. She reports to Vanessa Sharp, KPMG’s General Counsel.

Commenting on Misha’s accolade, Vanessa Sharp, General Counsel at KPMG, said: “Organisations need to ensure they have the right talent in the right place and in the right roles. We are delighted that having only just joined KPMG, Misha is already making her mark firmly within the firm and building upon her successes to date. She is a role model to young women, and men alike, to maintain their sense of ambition whilst also combining excellence, commercial acumen and a warm personality. We are very pleased to have her within our team and look forward to celebrating her future successes.”
