KPMG today announced that John Kjorstad, current Editor of Infrastructure Journal (IJ) will join its Global Infrastructure practice as an Associate Director in January 2014.  John will become KPMG’s Global Services’ (KGS) Infrastructure Hub Leader. In his new role, he will lead a team of 11 people delivering infrastructure research and business support to KPMG practices around the world.

Nick Chism, KPMG’s Global Chair of Government and Infrastructure, comments: We are delighted to welcome John and are confident his deep sector insight and experience will be instrumental in delivering high quality research and client support for our continued business growth. His leadership, coupled with his profile and knowledge as a leading industry commentator, will enable us to quickly expand our Infrastructure Hub business to offer support globally.”

John Kjorstad, currently Editor of Infrastructure Journal, comments: “I have really enjoyed editing IJ, and know I leave the brand in the hands of a highly talented team. It will be difficult to leave but I am looking forward to moving to the advisory side. KPMG’s Infrastructure Hub was set up six months ago and is growing exponentially. Leading such a fast growing research and support team will be a challenge but I cannot wait to get started.”

Bernard Johnson, Operations Director, 4C Group, comments: “We wish John well with his new role and I would like to thank him for his contribution to IJ’s success since he joined in 2006. IJ is widely recognised as a leading online provider of news and data services to industry professionals in the development and financing of global infrastructure projects. John will remain with IJ until the end of the year and I will be working with him to ensure a smooth transition.”
