Based in the CIS since 2008 with experience in Kazakhstan, Russia and throughout Central Asia and the Caucuses, Gregor also has extensive international experience having worked in various high-growth countries in North and South-East Asia as well as Brazil and the UK.

Gregor has performed audit and advisory services for a variety of Kazakhstan’s largest financial institutions, reporting under IFRS, including auditing two of Kazakhstan’s five largest banks and being involved in advisory projects (transaction services and accounting advisory services) with banks which have undergone high-profile, complex restructuring processes. He has audited the largest bank in Kyrgyzstan as well as several other financial institutions in that country and has experience of auditing Central Banks.

Since taking the role of CFO of KPMG in the CIS in January 2011, Gregor has hands-on experience of many of the real issues faced by the senior management of complex businesses in the CIS including strategic and structural issues, internal control, risk and operational issues. Gregor is well placed to advise senior management on these issues having personally had to resolve many of them himself.
