Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability

For us at KPMG the concept of a socially responsible business implies adherence to corporate values, respect for people, support to local communities and to future generations and concern about the environment.

Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability

The main goal of our corporate citizenship and sustainability (CCS) programs is to identify and support the best solutions to some of the social problems as we seek to drive sustainable positive changes. All the programs are implemented using the firm's own funds, with involvement of KPMG employees or in partnership with leading non-profit organizations. In Russia and the CIS our CCS programs focus on helping children from social and biological risk groups. Our initiatives, being predominantly systematic and long-term, require financial contributions and significant time commitment, but also the ideas, emotions and expertise of our employees. By pooling all these resources, we have greater opportunities to achieve the best results when addressing some of the social issues.

KPMG's corporate citizenship and sustainability strategy consists of three major blocks: helping local communities, implementing educational projects and protecting the environment.

A socially responsible corporate is no longer something extraordinary. It’s a privilege to be a part of the team leading the effort in the communities. What I most appreciate about that is the genuine concern, care and good will of people within our organization when it comes to the CSR agenda. People behind so much of our corporate responsibility initiatives are always a big inspiration to me.
