Trends in corporate non-financial reporting: preparation and assurance

On 5 March 2013, KPMG will host a workshop on corporate reporting and assurance.

Many companies today prepare annual reports in accordance with the requirements of stock market regulators, and in Russia and the CIS more and more firms are producing sustainability reports, with a number moving towards integrated reporting. In this context, both companies experienced in this area and those new to it frequently ask us questions such as "Where do we start?", "What corporate reporting standards should we follow?", "Why do non-financial statements need independent assurance?", "What are the risks involved in integrated reporting?" and "How can we organise our internal system of data collection, transformation and consolidation in order to ensure high-quality corporate reporting?".

To answer these questions and to help those interested get an overall picture of the trends in corporate reporting and assurance, KPMG has developed a programme for a workshop on "Trends in corporate non-financial reporting: preparation and assurance". This programme includes both theory material and real-life examples from the experiences of large international companies, as as well as interactive practical activities.

The workshop will help companies not only to understand the main content and quality requirements for corporate reporting, but also to assess how effectively reporting is organised and managed from an independent auditor's viewpoint.

The workshop is designed for managers and specialists involved in the corporate reporting process. A similar workshop in 2012 showed that non-financial reporting is an issue that corporate reporting professionals are interested in. This year, we are also inviting you to share your experiences with colleagues, and to give your views on the latest developments in corporate reporting and identify obstacles to its development.

  • The workshop will be led by professionals from KPMG's Corporate Governance and Sustainability group, who provide corporate reporting and assurance services, plus invited experts.
  • The approximate number of attendants will be: 20-30 people (the number of participants is limited).
  • The workshop will be held in Russian.

Attendance is free of charge.

If you are interested in this event, please send an email confirming your participation to: events@kpmg.ru. For registration purposes, you will need to include the name of your company, and the names, positions and contact telephone numbers of the employees who will be attending.

To ensure that all interested parties can be represented, there is also a limit on the number of people each organisation can send: 2. KPMG reserves the right to change the date of the workshop.
