KPMG in Romania appoints three new Partners

1 october 2012, Bucharest

Three new Partners have joined KPMG in Romania with effect from 1 October 2012: Daniela Strusevici, Bogdan Vaduva and Tudor Grecu. Their appointment marks the high point in their careers. At the same time, it demonstrates that regardless of the economic climate, KPMG in Romania always rewards talented people who are committed to our core values and enables them to progress to the highest levels in the firm.

In 2011 KPMG also appointed three new Partners. In the past three years, eight new Partners have been appointed, bringing the total to 21. The nomination of the new Partners reflects that in KPMG there is a group of talented and creative people, with differing specializations, who have been constantly encouraged and promoted by KPMG. Currently, the total number of professionals at KPMG exceeds 650.

Daniela Strusevici joined KPMG in 1996 in Bucharest and in 1999 returned to her home town of Timisoara where the company had just set up its first regional office. She is an auditor by profession, and a member of the UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), as well as the Romanian Chamber of Auditors (CAFR). As Daniela says: “It was exciting for me to develop professionally in an office which started small, but which in a few years became a powerful regional office providing a full range of audit, tax and advisory services.”

Tudor Grecu has been part of KPMG’s team dedicated to the financial sector since 2001. He is a member of ACCA and CAFR and has specialized in audits of insurance companies, investment funds and credit institutions. As Tudor says: “The financial sector has attracted a lot of public attention, and is a barometer of the economic situation. It is often the first to respond to companies’ demands for change. Our integrated services have been developed by the leading team in Romania, which is passionate and dynamic and aware of the crucial importance of this sector. My objective is to combine our energy and expertise with our clients’ current needs for innovation.”

Bogdan Vaduva has worked at KPMG since 2004. He started out as an auditor, and later extended his field of expertise to cover a wide spectrum of activity. Bogdan coordinates multidisciplinary teams in major consultancy projects involving regulated industries. Bogdan specializes in corporate finance consultancy with a focus on Energy and Utilities, Oil and Gas as well as Transportation/Infrastructure. He is a member of ACCA and has a postgraduate degree from Harvard Business School in Executive Education (Program for Leadership Development). As Bogdan comments: “I’m pleased to be joining the Partnership at KPMG, and I’m sure that together we will continue to develop our Consultancy and Mergers & Acquisitions services to the benefit of our clients, KPMG being one of the leading players in this field.”

As Serban Toader, Senior Partner at KPMG in Romania concludes: “I’m proud of the success of my colleagues Daniela, Tudor and Bogdan. They have grown with KPMG. They are competitive and dedicated to the firm, our clients and their colleagues. They have demonstrated a well developed entrepreneurial sense, and innovative thinking. I warmly congratulate them on their appointment and am looking forward to continuing to achieve great things together.”
