Jamie Sinclair
Director, Sustainability Advisory Services
Jamie is a qualified chartered accountant, specialising in sustainability, change management, reporting systems and assurance and has four years experience as a financial auditor.
Jamie's international experience includes two and a half years running change management projects in the UK, involving the retail services sectors.
Over the last three years Jamie has specialised in:
- climate change
- sustainability strategies and reporting
- assurance frameworks
- financial and business implications of emissions trading.
Jamie has a Post Graduate Diploma in Science in Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons.). He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Sustainable Development Reporting Committee.
Jamie’s relevant experience includes:
- providing sustainability assurance services to large clients in the financial services, industrial processes and building products sectors
- providing sustainability strategy and reporting advice to Auckland territorial authorities and clients in the construction and manufacturing sectors
- working with Government departments to develop a robust approach to assurance of environmental management systems
- working with the Ministry for the Environment to validate the process and data associated with the New Zealand Greenhouse Gas Emissions GHG inventory and the related international reporting
- providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in relation to deforestation liabilities under the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS)
- providing technical assistance in relation to carbon credit valuation, recognition and measurement
- an understanding of the NZ seafood industry and experience providing audit services to organisations in this sector.
Gabrielle Wyborn
Manager, Sustainability Advisory Services
Gabrielle has experience in providing technical guidance and sustainability assurance services associated with the ETS.
Prior to joining the Sustainability Advisory Services team, Gabrielle worked in KPMG’s Tax team for five and a half years, including a secondment to KPMG Dublin in early 2008. Her experience includes providing legislative compliance and consulting services to companies in the Financial Services and Insurance, Consumer Industrial Markets and Funds Management industries.
Gabrielle has completed a Bachelor of Law, gaining a background in environmental law, as well as a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons.), in which she majored in the Resources and Environmental Planning Programme.
Gabrielle’s relevant experience includes:
- assisting large clients in the industrial processes and building products sectors, providing sustainability assurance services associated with emissions, revenue and production figures prepared by clients for the ETS
- providing technical guidance to the Sustainability Advisory Services practice in respect of the ETS
- researching and developing sustainability focussed thought leadership
- performance related research for sustainability strategy articulation.
