Perhaps the most telling comment is the FEC’s concern about the pressure on IRD’s ageing computer systems, with a number of recommendations to defer initiatives to allow IRD to cope.
We are particularly concerned that this has potential to constrain future tax policy development and effective delivery of operational change. This, therefore, needs to be a priority focus for the Department.
