Field notes - Issue 129, 20 June 2012

Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development - 20th June to 22nd June

The conference will provide more than 50,000 participants from governments, businesses, and NGOs, a forum to discuss and renew a global commitment to sustainable development, assess sustainable development progress, and address new and emerging challenges.

KPMG’s ‘Sustainable insight: Return to Rio’ [PDF:777KB] previews the likely outcomes of Rio+20 and what role business will have in the Rio+20 process.

The report builds on the recent KPMG study ‘Expect the unexpected: Building business value in a changing world’, which identified 10 “megaforces” that will significantly affect every business over the next two decades.
