The Great Barrier Island Clean Up event was organised by “Sustainable Coastlines”. As an avid supporter of sustainable business practices, Ben Brownrigg - Business Advisory in Tauranga, was heavily involved during the 2 day event.
Around 700 volunteers, including a number of other KPMG staff, gave up their free time to help out. The aim was to clean up the entire east coast of Great Barrier. More than two tonnes of rubbish was collected – all to be recycled. The Project Out There grant helped with the cost of ferrying equipment to the Island.
