The ADIT aims to meet the needs of professionals who wish to further their studies and expertise in International Taxation. The Diploma is the leading qualification in tax matters. In Malta this is the sixth consecutive year that the Diploma is being run . This has mainly been the result of a high demand for ADIT qualified International Taxation professionals by the local Financial Services industry especially as Malta is becoming an increasingly important international hub for international taxation management. In fact the Diploma apart from the Basics of International Taxation puts an emphasis on Maltese Tax as well.
The collaboration agreement between MIM and KPMG aims to strengthen the quality of the delivery of the course programme by offering the participants tuition and access to amongst the best local and international experts on the subject. The Diploma programme includes three papers and participation in a conference addressing local and international taxation topics. The programme will be held in the evening and can be studied on a modular basis. Business, Accounts and Law University Students, Accountants, lawyers, graduates and practitioners in finance and business administration are amongst those eligible for the Diploma.
The MIM and KPMG Student Sponsorship Scheme aims to support students for free participation in the Diploma. The programme is also eligible for partial EU funding thus making the ADIT qualification even more accessible. All students participating in the sponsorship scheme will if not successful on the sponsorship scheme will be given a substantial discount on the tuition fees.
Students interested in taking part in the Student Sponsorship Scheme, will be requested to write a 5,000 word essay on a Tax subject of their choice. The student who submits the best essay will be offered free attendance on the 2011 Intake of the ADIT Paper 1 and Paper 2 (CIOT fees not included) and the opportunity of a job interview with KPMG. All essays will become exclusive property of MIM who will be authorised to publish.
Non-successful students will receive a discounted offer on the programme. The Essay must be related to the field of Taxation.
Prospective applicants may suggest a preferred topic which will need to be approved by MIM and KPMG.
Terms and Conditions:
- Essays must be handed in by 2 weeks from the date of the title being confirmed by MIM.
- All essays must be handed over by the 30th September 2011.
- The Essays must be written in English.
- The offer relates to MIM training on the ADIT Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- No revision of essays may be requested.
- The offer is non-transferable.
- The MIM reserves the right to publish the essays.
- Plagarism will automatically disqualify the participant
