He has undergone financial services specific training with KPMG in London and Brussels and at INSEAD in France. He has been critical in developing dedicated financial services audit resources in the Malta office and over the years has been responsible for most of the firm’s financial services entities operating in banking and investments. He is the principal technical advisor on the financial instruments standards on issues for the firm and its financial sector clients. Noel is a permanent member of KPMG Malta’s committee responsible for professional practice issues.
He heads the operations side of the audit practice in Malta and the firm’s dedicated financial services complement within audit. Noel is also a member of the firm’s Executive Management Committee and Professional Practice Committee.
