KPMG Insurance System Survey 2012-2013 

 

Some 20 years ago, KPMG Luxembourg started to conduct a regular survey of the systems in the IT landscape of the financial sector in Luxembourg, acknowledging at that time that IT was a major enabler of the development of our financial marketplace. Eighteen editions of the survey later, the importance of IT in the sector has not reduced – to the contrary – and we still follow with passion the trends that the evolving landscape is creating year after year.

Starting with this edition, the section of the report dedicated to the insurance sector has been extracted in order to create a standalone survey. By doing so, KPMG is recognizing that the insurance sector, even though linked to the banking sector in Luxembourg, has a life of its own, driven by needs, constraints and objectives which may be different from those of the other financials sectors.
