Île aux Clown’s objective is to help improve the lives of children, isolated persons and the elderly, confined to hospital, a care home or other similar organization. KPMG Luxembourg Foundation is delighted and proud to be involved in the launch of this project.
KPMG is joined by four other partners from different sectors, Clifford Chance, Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, Help and Servior, for the launch of the new Île aux Clowns. Each of the five partners brings not only a significant financial commitment but also multiple professional skills to support the new association and to ensure its long term sustainability.
“The partners make a perfect team bringing together social sector skills as well as business and legal skills, ensuring that the association gets all the necessary support in the first few months until it is fully operational – this is a great example of how different sectors in Luxembourg can come together” says Georges Bock, managing partner at KPMG and newly appointed President of the board of Directors of Île aux Clowns.
“Laughter is the best medicine….. and we are delighted that the clowns will begin their visits to different organizations immediately from Monday 8 July” says Anne Goeres, Director of Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner and co-vice president of Ile aux Clowns. The hospital clowns have already planned their next visits to the main children’s hospitals and clinics in Luxembourg as well as retirement homes and family homes of some seriously sick children so the clowns are back on the road bringing back laughter and fun to patients of all ages across Luxembourg.
