As part of the EU action plan to improve access to finance for small and medium companies (“SMEs”) (known as Europe 2020 Strategy), the European Council formally adopted on 21 March 2013 the European Venture Capital Funds Regulation (‘EuVECA) and the European Social Entrepreneurship Funds Regulation (‘EuSEF’) that were voted by the European Parliament on 12 March.
