It is now already the seventh edition of the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) awards and once more, we have outstanding projects that are set to be recognised this year. Since the opening of nominations for the 7th edition of the competition last January, the CYEL 2013 team at the Junior Chamber International Luxembourg has received a number of creative applications from the most innovative entrepreneurs in Luxembourg.
After having gathered on 24 April 2013 at the BGL BNP Paribas headquarters, the CYEL jury members analyzed applications, selected three finalists and then decided on the winner for the 2013 edition.
The applications reflected the diversity of sectors represented in the country and reinforced the Grand Duchy’s image as a land of entrepreneurship. With such excellent submissions, deciding between the candidates was not an easy task for the jury.
After some deliberation, the Jury identified the following candidates to go through to the final (listed in alphabetical order):
Mr Laurent Muller Muller & Associés Associé / Administrateur
Mr François Scalais Neo Medical Systems Founder & General Manager
Mme Virginie Simon MYSCIENCEWORK CEO & Founder
The finalists will be guests of honour at a gala to be held on 5 June at Hotel Parc Belle-Vue (5 avenue Marie-Thérèse, L-2132 Luxembourg) where the overall winner of the competition will be announced.
Invitations to the award ceremony have already been issued with registration online at www.cyel.lu. Awards will be given to finalists by the sponsors and partners who have chosen to support the 2013 edition of the competition.¨
The 2013 CYEL team would like to thank the jury members and sponsors, who have, as always, shown their genuine enthusiasm for participating in this edition. Without their dedication, the event would not reach the same levels of prestige and success.
The jury is composed of experienced decision makers from Luxembourg’s economic, cultural and entrepreneurial milieu, who once again rose to the challenge of selecting the best candidates.
