Isle of Man Banking Review 2011 

KPMG in the Isle of Man is pleased to release its latest Isle of Man banking review.

 

This survey, the seventeenth in the series, is intended to serve as a useful benchmarking tool for assessing a particular licenceholder’s basic financial performance against other institutions of a similar size.

The statistics are calculated from information extracted from the financial statements of the institutions.

 

A list of licenceholders included within the survey, together with reasons why particular licenceholders are excluded from this exercise.

 

The licenceholders are grouped into three sections according to asset size, as follows:

  • Greater than £500 million
  • Between £100 million and £500 million
  • Up to £100 million.

 

The following performance measures have been calculated:

  • Total assets
  • Return on capital employed
  • Profit after tax
  • Profit before tax
  • Cost/income ratio
  • Capital and reserves
  • Net interest margin

 

The basis of calculation of these statistics is included.
