The Developing World

We have supported projects including Hospice Africa in Uganda which helps 1400 mostly AIDS and cancer patients per annum providing both financial and leadership resources.

We also provide on a case by case basis the potential for six month secondments of our people with leading Irish charities in the developing world. Our people use their financial and accounting skills to support the sustainability of these programmes whilst helping alleviate suffering in some of the world’s poorest countries.

We work closely with Concern and have collaborated with them to ensure their access to KPMG’s Global Disasters Relief Fund. KPMG people worldwide have raised over €16 million for disaster relief.

KPMG has also supported Concern Pathway to a Better Life programme in Haiti whereby micro finance projects can help marginalised communities escape some of the worst ravages of poverty and thus assist better health and educational outcomes.
