The traditional KPMG Alumni Christmas Drinks took place at Dublin City Hall on Friday, 7 December. The evening was full of festive cheer as former colleagues mingled and shared stories in the historic surroundings of City Hall which is an outstanding example of the Georgian architecture for which Dublin is world-renowned.
Terence O’Rourke, managing partner at KPMG in Ireland, extended a warm welcome to all those attending and spoke about the value of staying connected. He also mentioned KPMG’s plans for the 2013 annual dinner which will be hosted in association with The Gathering. It is hoped that many alumni from overseas will consider timing any plans to travel home to allow them attend the 2013 Dinner.
The evening was made truly memorable when the Piccolo Lasso choir, directed by Ite O’Donovan performed a medley of Christmas songs. Music filled the hall as guests sang along to Deck the Halls, Ding Dong Merrily on High and Jingle Bells.
As always, the Christmas Drinks was a joyful way to kick start the festive season and round off a busy year.
