KPMG’s Employment Law Unit is a dedicated division within Corporate Legal Advisory Services, offering practical legal advice on areas of employment law. The Unit forms part of a multidisciplinary team within KPMG, including professionals who are experienced in Executive and Employee Share Incentive Schemes, Recruitment advisers and Tax professionals who advise on a broad range of employee related taxation and social security issues.
The Unit provides legal advice on all Irish and European legislation relating to or affecting the employment relationship, and generally provides advice in the following areas:
- Employment contracts
- Employee handbooks
- Equality and discrimination in the workplace
- Working time regulations
- Transfer of Undertakings Directive
- Redundancies
- Unfair dismissals
- Employee benefit and incentive schemes
- Employment of non-nationals
- Health and Safety issues relating to stress, bullying and harassment
While the Employment Law Unit primarily advises on these issues from a consultative and compliance point of view, it also advises clients on contentious employment law issues.
