This bulletin provides an update regarding where foreign entities or individuals located/residing in DKI Jakarta should register to obtain their tax identification numbers (NPWP) as of 5 August 2011.

Based on the new DGT regulation, foreign entities and individuals located/residing in DKI Jakarta are (again) required to register with the Badora Satu and Badora Dua tax offices, instead of with the local tax offices based on their place of residence.

This bulletin contains our update and comments regarding the possible positive and negative impacts of this regulation.
