There has been a significant increase in real estate investment transactions compared to 2010 in the CEE region, a new KPMG survey amongst leading banks in the region reveals. However, the performance of real estate has varied greatly across the different countries and asset classes: much of the transaction activity has occurred in the countries with better macroeconomic performance and that are geographically closer to the more mature markets of Western Europe.
