Zsolt Bertalan, former CEO of MAVIR Hungarian TSO. Since June 2013 he has been a Board Member of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E). He is also Founding President of Smart Future Innovation Cluster an industry initiative to promote smart grid projects.
He obtained an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, specialized in power systems, from the Technical University of Budapest. He also holds a BA degree in Economics from the Collage of Finance and Accountancy and a MBA degree from Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He began his career in 1997 as Engineer for MVM, a Hungarian state owned electricity company and served in the electricity transmission for over 15 years.
