Kevin Kelly brings more than 15 years of financial experience in the areas of financial reporting and cost management, planning, treasury, taxation, pension and insurance.
Kevin joined Bruce Power full time in the summer of 2001 after spending two years on contract with British Energy. While under contract British Energy, Kevin was responsible for setting up the North American reporting and governance for British Energy North America. During this time he was also part of the transition team focusing on the transaction between Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation. Once the transaction had closed, he focused on the implementation of governance and infrastructure for the Finance department as Head of Finance. In 2005 he was promoted to VP Finance and played an active role in the restructuring of Bruce Power into two Limited Partnerships. More recently he has focused on bank financing, insurance risk management and pension governance.
Prior to joining British Energy, Kevin spent seven years with BDO Dunwoody working out of their Toronto office. During his tenure at BDO, Kevin was responsible for managing client groups that consisted of both owner-managed businesses and public companies. He also participated in helping clients complete Initial Public Offerings and obtaining bank financing.
Kevin received his Chartered Accountant (C.A.) designation in 1997, and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University.
