Adrian Scholtz is Director, Corporate Finance and European Head of Renewables at KPMG in the United Kingdom. Adrian is FSA registered and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has a joint honours degree in European Studies and German from the University of Manchester Adrian has focused on the Renewable Energy sector over the past ten years. He has advised on transactions with a market value exceeding €5bn

 

Recent successful transactions:

  • Advised Repsol on the acquisition of SeaEnergy Renewables, an offshore wind development company. 2011 Transaction EV €57m
  • Advised a Swiss utility on the acquisition of a >70MW portfolio of operating onshore wind projects in Germany from an international infrastructure fund. 2011. Transaction EV not disclosed
  • Advised Vattenfall on the disposal of 49% of the 288MW Dan Tysk offshore wind project in Germany to Stadtwerke Muenchen. 2010. Transaction EV >€1bn
  • Advised a successful bidder on the acquisition of a minority stake in RWE’s 576MW Gwynt y Mor offshore wind project in the UK. 2010. Transaction EV>€1.5bn
  • Advised the shareholders of Hammerfest Strom, including Scottish Power and Statoil, on the introduction of a strategic partner, Andritz. 2010. Transaction EV>€35m

 

Further highlights:

  • Advised the club lenders to NEG Micon on the merger with Vestas
  • Advised RWE on the 400MW Zephyr structure, including the first external debt financing of an offshore wind project
