Global Energy Institute Business Club

Close to 50 senior executives from the Energy & Natural Resources (ENR) sector gathered at Tower Club on 2 Oct to share and discuss insights on strategic procurement and the latest oil & gas M&A trends. Hosted by KPMG’s Global Energy Institute (GEI) for Asia Pacific, the latest business club event addressed two of eight areas highlighted by the GEI as key to helping businesses achieve sustainable growth in 2014: Delivering Performance, JV’s and Structuring.

Singapore – as an LNG hub

KPMG’s Global Energy Institute organised a reception for energy leaders in February 2014 at the Maison BARSAC restaurant in Tokyo.

 

Global Energy Institute inaugural event in Tokyo has presented the latest insights on Singapore as an LNG hub with challenges and opportunities faced by the ASEAN regions. The event also shared the eight key themes that are commonly faced by energy and natural resource companies and how these key themes affect the performance of the companies.

 

Pek Hak Bin as a keynote speaker introduced the opportunities for the energy industry in Singapore’s LNG hub and the challenging outlook of energy market in 2014.

The inaugural KPMG Global Energy Conference - Asia Pacific and official launch of the KPMG Global Energy Institute – Asia Pacific was held in Singapore on April 25 2013. Themed on ‘Opportunities in Asia’, dealing with complexity in the fast changing energy landscape, over 300 delegates heard speakers from government, industry and other stakeholders as they shared insights on the quest for solutions balancing the requirements of regional economic growth, operational efficiency and energy security.
