Relocation process

We take the organization out of the process for you, so that you can focus on the experience. Typically the relocation process involves a few different stages – but don’t worry we’re there every step of the way:
Relocation process
‘Look see’ visit (pre job offer/acceptance)

  • KPMG in Russia and the CIS will arrange, and pay for, your accommodation.
  • A meeting with a real estate agent will be arranged for you to show you possible accommodation, sites of interest and useful places such as supermarkets.
  • Our partners and managers will meet with you and take you for dinner or to the theater so that you can find out more about both the business and social side of Russia.

Post job offer/acceptance
We will sort out:

  • your work permit and visa*
  • a visa for your spouse
  • all the paperwork processing
  • advice on relocation, moving luggage (including pets if required) and customs.

You are responsible for:

  • medical check-ups while still at home (these are reimbursed on arrival in Russia)
  • signing and returning paperwork.

*Please note: After a job offer has been made and accepted it will take one to three months for all the necessary permits and visas to be arranged.

On arrival in Russia:

  • KPMG will pick you up and take you to a hotel or furnished apartment where you will stay for approximately two weeks
  • for the first few days you are given time to settle in and find accommodation
  • a KPMG ‘buddy’ is allocated to help you to answer any questions you may have.
