UN Global Compact: Communication on Progress

At KPMG, we understand that we serve the public trust and play a critical role in helping to solve some of the world’s toughest, most complex problems. Moreover, as trusted advisors to the public, private and non-governmental sectors, KPMG professionals play a leading role in helping organizations to meet many of the UN’s wider goals and objectives, including the ten principles of the UN Global Compact (UNGC).
Communication on Progress

Our Communication on Progress (PDF 1 MB) report highlights how KPMG's 155,000 people around the world are empowered to contribute their time, skills, passions and expertise to improve their communities and society at large. We are proud of our support of the UNGC and we remain committed to making a real difference in our communities.

There are four core areas that the Global Compact focuses on, which KPMG responds to in different ways.

Human Rights

Environment

Labor Standards

Anti-Corruption

KPMG International is a LEAD participant in the UNGC. Launched in 2011 for businesses with a history of engagement with the UNGC, LEAD enables our global network of member firms to deepen our commitment to the UNGC through the implementation of the Blueprint for Corporate Sustainability Leadership. The Blueprint helps businesses demonstrate leadership in three areas: (i) integrating the 10 principles into strategies and operations; (ii) taking action in support of broader UN goals and issues; and (iii) engaging with the UN Global Compact.

Our Communication on Progress guides the reader towards this website where additional information can be found on our commitment to the UN Global Compact and its 10 principles, as well as our wider citizenship programs. Regarding citizenship related data, several member firms have instituted internal assurance procedures for selected indicators. In addition, a few member firms have initiated external assurance and/or verification services for their citizenship data. A summary report is offered for download.
