Environmental stewardship

KPMG’s global network of member firms are committed to reducing their impact on the environment, addressing local environmental challenges and working with clients to advance environmental sustainability. For example, investing in responsible energy use; educating and providing support to employees in making sustainable decisions; working on environmental protection projects; and joining forces with business leadership groups to address environmental impacts.

In 2008, KPMG International launched the Global Green Initiative, a three-pronged approach to tackle the climate change challenge across the global KPMG network by:

Managing our impacts

Managing environmental impacts does not end with carbon emissions measurement.

Supporting environmental projects

Through the Global Green Initiative the global network of firms apply their business skills and support innovative projects to address the challenges of climate change.

Supporting professionals, suppliers and clients

KPMG works with the people in the global network of member firms to reduce their individual impacts and collaborate with suppliers and clients.
