The turmoil in financial services has forced many companies to re-evaluate how they manage risk. Many have highly complex organizational structures, which can lead to significant challenges when trying to gain a clear picture of all the risks being taken across an organization.

But in the wake of the financial crisis, it has become even more important that risk management needs to be integrated across the entire business. Companies also need to rigorously monitor key indicators which show early warning signs of potential problems, and have pre-planned strategies to address potential risks.
