Venezuela - Rules for foreign currency acquired for import purposes 

November 4: A decree in Venezuela concerns the acquisition of foreign currency for uses related to import activities.

Providencia N° 119, published in official gazette N° 40.259 (26 September 2013), includes changes to the requirements and authorization procedures for acquiring foreign currency for import purposes (divisas destinadas a las importaciones).


The decree’s effective date is 26 September 2013.
