Jamaica - Reminder of return, payment due date 

January 21:   Individual taxpayers in Jamaica are reminded that the deadline for filing income tax returns for the year 2012 and declarations of estimated income tax for the year 2013 is 15 March 2013.

Also, income tax due for the year of assessment 2012 and the first quarterly installment of estimated income tax for the year of assessment 2013 is due by 15 March 2013.


Interest on underpaid amounts of tax is automatically imposed at a rate of 20% per annum, and the maximum penalty for the late filing of an income tax return is J$10,000.
